Neofeud Indie Game Review

Neofeud was just released on Steam earlier this week. If you’re looking for a story dense indie game to play, you’ve come to the right place.

The Game

Neofeud is set in the city of Costlandia, where sentient machines are viewed and treated less than second-class citizens. You play Karl Carbon, a social worker in “The Pile” who works with both sentients and humans, to try to get them the help they need. Unfortunately, the pile is a massive landfill where those who don’t fit into classy society are dumped into. Karl found himself here after he was discharged from his position as a cop due to not shooting an unarmed sentient humanoid. However, he just might be the hero to save the human-robot-hybrid civilization.

This is a point-and-click game that is driven by the story and the narrative. Find justice for the sentients.

The Feels

Neofeud is definitely a game that reminds me of an 80’s action movie. It draws inspiration from Blade Runner, which I see hints of that movie throughout this game. Especially with how they treat sentients. It’s definitely an interesting concept and I am curious to see where this story goes. The art is interesting in this game, along with the voice acting but I would play this game for the storyline. The concept is really nice.

Neofeud just came out this past week! Be sure to check it out!
