NEKO-NIN exHeart Japanese Indie Game Review

Are you looking for a cute, Japanese visual novel this is also an indie game? Possibly involving cat ninja girls? Well NEKO-NIN exHeart may be the game for you.

The Game

NEKO-NIN exHeart is a visual novel that follows the story of two Demi-Humans named Yura and Tama. They come from a village where they trained as ninjas. Their mission is protect Lord Haruki, who is just a highschool boy that has no clue what’s going on. Naturally when two cat girls show up on your door calling you “master”, one is bound to freak out and run away.

However it is up to Yura and Tama to convince this high school boy to let them serve him. However, what are Yura and Tama protecting Haruki from? And will Haruki’s mother ever believe him when he tells her that there are two ninja catgirls following him around, calling him master and protecting him from the shadows? You’ll have to find out by playing NEKO-NIN exHeart.

The Feels

I have to admit, I love anime girls. They’re always so cute and pretty and come with amazing clothes. Yura and Tama are totally cute and I love their ears and hair decorations. However, I just wish the story moved quicker of why they needed to protect him.

The art for this visual novel though is stunning. There wasn’t a frame that made me think differently at all. It’s always pretty and makes you wish you can live in that world. Plus, you’re always asking questions throughout this visual novel, wishing to find out what happens. Plus the voice acting in this game makes you believe you’re watching an anime, but luckily there are subtitles in English. Also, there is an 18+ patch you can add to this visual novel as well.

NEKO-NIN exHeart is available now on Steam.
