Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist
It’s quite the title, yet nothing you would have expected. Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist, is a game created by William Pugh. Pugh is known as one of the creators of the Stanley Parable. Which can only lead me to believe that this game would be strange.
In Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist, you expect a game of mystery. A game where you would have an adventure while stealing a cursed emerald, fighting off a lion. Yet, it’s nothing like that. Even the character goes into this thinking that as well.
Instead the character aka you, are forced into helping the unsceen narrator make this game into something fun for the other person who is actually playing the game. The narrator tells you that all of his workers had left that morning and that there was no one else there to run the game. Thus you have to run it, and then he will find someone else to run the game for you when it is your turn.
It’s interesting. This title is totally meant to throw you off. You think you’re there to play a mystery game, however it turns out that you’re running the behind the scenes for someone else. Since it’s from one of the creators of the Stanley Parable, I tried to find a way to escape. Yet that didn’t work out. So I tried to mess the game up as much as possible. That didn’t work either.
Yet when you play the game a second time, you get a tape recorder to listen to these random tapes you find. One is of a man who hopes to become a filmmaker. He is rejected over his attack of the the killer pencils idea. It’s funny though, it’s a game you didn’t expect to have happen what had happened.
Either way, it’s a fun little game with a giant title. You receive different achievements for different things you collect like coins and getting a soda. Plus, it’s free to play.
