A while ago, I had tried Burnstar on a small laptop and really didn’t know what to think of the experience. I mean, this laptop sucked pretty hard. So when I finally got to try it on my new, spiffy computer I enjoyed it a lot more.
In Burnstar you play one of four characters. Each one of them are working together, trying to clean up and save their home from people who are destroying it. How do they do that you ask? Well, they burn things and set things on fire with bombs! This is an action puzzle game where you are given bombs to clean up the area and save your home. However, you are only given a certain number of bombs.
With only a few bombs given each level, you have to choose wisely where to place them. On top of that, there are so many things that want to kill you, so you have to be cautious. However, there is an element of danger to this game, since Burnstar also competitively compares how fast you solve the puzzles to others. Thus, you have to go though the levels as fast as you can. So you have to learn the puzzles quick to try to beat the high score!
Burnstar is a cute little action puzzle game. Each character has their own special little powers and are kind of adorable. The more I play puzzle and action puzzle games, I’ve found myself enjoying them more. Which I really didn’t think was possible, yet here I am! This is a game that can be fun for the whole family to try and compete against each other to see who can solve the puzzle not only the fastest, but with the most amount of stars as well.
Over all, I enjoyed playing this game, especially on a better computer. It’s a lot more fun when you know what you’re doing and have a computer that can run a game!
